Threads micro-residency project celebration Sidney Cooper Gallery Saturday 4 August, 1-7pm Free
Marking the half-way point of Threads 2018 micro-residency project, join the celebration at Sidney Cooper Gallery from 1-7pm on Saturday 4 August. With artists and guest speakers, enjoy sound-art performances, a micro-residency exhibition and a glass of bubbly as the event highlights the importance of sustainable creative energy and identifying Kent as a culture centre.
Recognising the importance of peer-led activity, Threads created a nine-month, paid programme of public micro-residencies, critiques and salons, supported by local ambassadors. Each event is free and open to the public – offering a uniquely different cultural experience for visitors; highlighting East Kent as a must-visit destination for contemporary art; and making creative spaces open and accessible to everyone.
This celebratory event is open to all and free to attend. Don’t miss the opportunity to network with artists and creatives; as well as listen to and get involved in discussions with special guest-speakers surrounding peer-led learning and development, and the importance of connecting East Kent’s towns through creative activity.
Threads micro-residency celebration takes place at Sidney Cooper Gallery from 1-7pm on Saturday 4 August – it is free to attend and is open to everyone.
