Following on from Kenneth James Martin’s successful Drawn to Fire exhibition in November at The Victoria Hall Gallery; Tinted Works could be perceived as the calming waters that tamed the fire. The minimalist canvas and relief works on display explore the colour cobalt blue and its tint sequence through to white. Each of the works broadcast on a positive frequency and contain a geometric rhythm that resonates gently. The Victoria Hall Gallery shall be transformed into a potential space for meditation and peaceful contemplation. Kenneth’s Tinted Works are gifts for the senses, art to smooth the winter blues. Since ancient times the colour blue has been used in places of healing and meditation and evoked a special meaning for humans, as it is so rare to find in nature. The works uplift the spirit and calm the senses.
