Helen Conway’s 2D and 3 D mixed media work utilises maps, text and graffiti to trace the history and experiences of herself and her family who lived, worked and went to war from St.Helens. In a unique twist, art works will be displayed that illustrate Helen’s creative process allowing the viewer to trace how the artist moved from source of inspiration to final abstracted work.
Leah Higgins is inspired by the way man-made structures, and especially those associated with industry, shape the urban landscape. Always there but rarely acknowledged. For this exhibition she has explored three areas. Contemporary, structures that divide the landscape into crisp lines and shapes. Abandoned older structures that, through a process of decay, are slowly reclaimed by nature. And those iconic structures which now only exist in our memory.
Opening times: Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm. Please note the gallery is closed on Sundays and will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Free entry and parking.
