ABOUT:
Tripp is a new contemporary art gallery located in east-central London, providing a diverse range of exhibitions and events; collaborating with artists, makers and curators in an effort to redefine the role of the gallery.
Situated in the basement of a Georgian shop on Amwell Street, Tripp is an artist-run space that opens to encourage and support disparate artworks. With a loose focus on painting, the program aims to provide wide-ranging content and display an eagerness to explore new avenues of artist/gallery relations.
FIRST EXHIBITION:
WHAT’S IT GOING TO BE THEN, EH?
30th September – 29th October
Launch Party – Thursday 29th September 6-9pm
A collection of works by Artists which Tripp intends to exhibit and support in the future. The exhibition includes painting, print and sculpture with an underlying figurative theme. Subject matter which we first assume is purely of the domestic or everyday but on further inspection the imagery reveals more personal exorcisms and symbolic intent, extracted from the banal.
