The performance(s) will be highly provocational and interactive. We will invite members of the audience to join us on stage to take the role of a character in a difficult situation or dilemma in order to find the solutions to the social problem and make a positive change in the storyline(s). The other actors will improvise the reactions of their characters facing this new intervention. The aim of the performances is about exploring possible solutions to problematic situations presented in order to achieve a more positive outcome, as well as identifying the challenges around empowerment and social cohesion.
Each performance could last up to 20mins, longer depending on the involvement and interactions from the audience.
Audiences will have the opportunity to:
· Observe and interact the performances
· Hot-seat the characters (ask questions)
· Become an active spect-actor with their views and opinions
· Actively solve the problems in the performances presented to them
· Witness a series of improvisations performed by the cast in which the impact of the audiences’ decisions is explored. This might have knock-on effects leading to other improvised scenes.

This radio series is based on the Forum Theatre and Theatre of the Oppressed techniques. Through these techniques the listeners are encouraged to actively participate in a dialogue initiated by the issues raised on the play and determine the course of the series by sharing their thoughts, feelings, beliefs and experiences.
Throughout this summer across Southwark Adam James in association with MOCA London, The NINES Peckham, Sustrans and Peckham Vision will host a number of artist led events including artist talks, workshops, participatory performances, walks, float-making, Nordic Larps and story-telling exploring themes relating to ‘truth’ and group engagement as means to unleash collective unconscious. This event is supported through Arts Council England grants for the arts.
