University of Glamorgan Art Purchase Prize 2010 has been confirmed as Wednesday 6 October 2010. The private view will be held from 6 to 8 pm in Oriel y Bont, Ty Crawshay, University of Glamorgan, Pontypridd, and the 2 prize-winners will be announced live. It is expected that all 16 exhibitors will be in attendance on the night. The 10 shortlisted artists eligible for the £ 3,000 prize are: Susan Adams, Iwan Bala, Colin Barfoot, Ivor Davies, Sarah Hope, Kunte Howell-Ojidade, Robert Alwyn Hughes, Wendy Mayer, Paul Rees and Philippa Robbins. The 6 shortlisted student artists eligible for the £ 750 student prize are: Swansea Metropolitan University art student Elizabeth Brickell; University of Wales Newport art student Ella Edwards; University of Glamorgan art students Sian Leung, Susan Morris, Tiffany Oben and Julia Rowlands. The University of Glamorgan Vice Chancellor Julie Lydon will be present on 6 October.
