Over 130 exhibitors will be showing and selling their work from their own studios, homes and gardens or in exhibition spaces all across the Vale. Work on display includes painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, ceramics, batik, glass, papier mache, jewellery and much more. This is a great chance for visitors to talk directly to the artists and makers themselves about what they do and how they do it and even see some of them at work. The Vale Arts Trail is also running a variety of workshops through the week for both adults and children including “Painting for the Terrified”, pastel portraits for children, picture framing and mounting, pottery for all, digital photography and basket weaving. The event kicks off with a preview evening on the 20th May and culminates with a “Big Paint” event where anyone can come along to join in and paint a small section of one big picture – what will it be? All will be revealed on the Bank Holiday weekend. Brochures available mid April.
