Five large new portraits in oil, most recent paintings by British/Russian artist Valery Koroshilov, are now exhibited on the walls of the London Branch to Standard Chartered Bank in the City. Together they form the Asian series. Explaining the concept of the series, the artist says: “Some people live in rural villages, others in big cities. Wherever they live – in mountains, forests and deserts, and on islands, people all around the world are busy doing the same things. We may all look very different, but in many ways we are so much alike: we all have curiosity, dreams, fears and hopes, and the desire to open our hearts to others. It appears to be particularly obvious when I study the young people.”
