Uncanny Spaces & Vanitas: Jacki StoreySaturday 19th of January – Sunday 6th of AprilVenue: Public SpacesThere are two separate spaces in which to see Jacki Storey's artwork. One features time based, pinhole photography and the other comprises an installation encouraging the audience to experience the artistic potential of camera obscura projections. In essence, Jacki's work takes the viewer on a journey that explores the possibility that light can both reveal and conceal, and also transform objects and spaces so that they become almost unrecognizable from one moment to another.In Uncanny Spaces in the Theatre Foyer, a number of long exposure pinhole photographs capture the passage of time, recording the changes in light as it travels across domestic interiors. The resulting images alter the appearance of the space, revealing more than can be seen with the naked eye. In the Inner Courtyard, the installation Vanitas creates a viewing experience which alters perceptions and transforms objects and spaces in real time.
