Our names are Finlay and Sophie, we are artists who run an outdoor community arts organisation called the ‘Walking Trees Collective‘.
Every month, we run a workshop connecting participants to different green and blue spaces in London to encourage deeper attention and connection to nature.
This April the Walking Trees Collective will be exploring the Old Mother Thames and her stories of what lies beneath, on Deptford Beach shoreline
SATURDAY 13TH APRIL 11-2pm & SUNDAY 14TH APRIL 11.30-2.30pm
This is the same event run on 2 days, so you can pick your day of choice.
Tickets are tiered depending on income- please message us if you are unable to buy a ticket at these prices, we want to ensure everyone can come.

Come and weave stories with us on the banks of Old Mother Thames! What worlds roam beneath her surface? What journeys criss cross her underwater realms? Let’s peer deeper into the pulsing art-ery of our metropolis, down into the digestive tract of our city-body.
Syncing with the moon driven rhythms that ebb and flow, we will explore how she churns up the past with every tidal rise and fall, burping up trinkets of eras gone by. Let’s submerge ourselves in muddy imaginings, knitting together tails of migrating eels, lost whales and cockney oysters. What can we learn from these ambassadors from our shared world? What happens when we meet them halfway?
