Wall of Mirrors is an interactive video installation that utilises the concept of the ‘Hall of Mirrors’ commonly found at fun-fairs, carnivals and amusement parks. Where this traditional form of entertainment combining sensory confusion and recognisability is brought into the digital age by the replacement of traditional mirrors with computers, cameras and screens. The exhibition is made up of a single screen located in the store front window of “Roadside Attractions” an artist-run exhibit space. The screen image is comprised of eight independent and digitally manipulated versions of a live camera feed, capturing all that passes on the street outside the store front. This exhibition has been made possible by the kind support of Culture Ireland, “Roadside Attractions” and Garage Cube (modul8).
