WE MOVE FORWARD – A mass poster campaign and limited edition publication commissioned by rednile as part of their Factory Nights programme and in partnership with Discover Middlesbrough Festival will be launched along with an exciting group exhibition of art work and readings by local poets relating to the areas rich heritage. This all takes place inside the infamous Captain Cook pub, a listed building with 170 years of history and a venue for a recent Factory Nights event.WE MOVE FORWARD is a new collaborative work between writer Danny Shaw and artist Mick Gibson and was inspired by the recent Factory Nights event held at Transporter Bridge and Captain Cook public house. This commission is the first in rednile’s Factory Nights 2011-2012 programme which will see 10 unique pieces of work produced by a range of artists and disciplines, all responding to interesting sites, venues and places in North East and West Midlands. PLEASE JOIN US on Sat 10th Sept 3.30-6pm for the preview of the exhibition with readings by local poets Bob Beagrie and Andy Willoughby and an Artist Talk by Mick Gibson and Danny Shaw to discuss and launch their new collaborative piece of work WE MOVE FORWARD.
