Following an international open call, 123 works by 118 artists were selected from a total of 1,397 submissions from 26 different countries, the highest number of entries in the history of the Awards. The selection was made by a panel of leading figures from the art world including Caroline Walker, artist; Harry Borden, artist; Donald Smith, Director of Exhibitions, Chelsea Space; Julian Wild, artist; Peter Randall-Page, artist, and Tali Lennox, artist.
