THE SIXTH NATIONAL WHIPPIT NIGHT OF CONTEMPORARY ART On the 20th February 2010 at Space 109 Walmgate, York, The 6th National Whippit Night will present 9 contemporary artists making live performance, video and sound art. Founded in 2007 Whippit Nights are contemporary art evenings that focus primarily on live and time-based art. Whippit 6 is supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, Yorkshire. and works in association with Contemporary Arts Collective ART BLOC & York St John University. Whippit 6 is the first of its kind to happen in North Yorkshire and presents new works by both emerging and established artists. Katy Connor (Bristol), Emma Bennett (London), Mark Greenwood (Plymouth), Stephen Cornford (Bristol) and Bean (Devon) Victoria Gray, Roddy Hunter, Charlotte Sykes, Nathan Walker (York).
