WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
In the first of our new series of Thursday Evening Workshops Jess Panchi Pacheco will be leading a workshop that is focused on the materiality of paper. In line with her extremely delicate paper cut out drawings, Jess will be sharing with us a way of drawing that is somewhat performative, and we will be considering how a limitation of material is helpful.
Drawing for Jess is always a way of thinking rather than being concerned with an end result, and is primarily used as a tool for collecting shapes and forms that can be explored later in photography.
Materials are included.
Format: Our Thursday evening series of workshops will focus on extending drawing through low-tech, low cost, DIY techniques. The creatives leading each workshop are young and emerging, yet each is working in a strong and accomplished way with their approach and materials.

BIO
Jess is an Artist based in London and is currently studying Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts. Her work encompasses drawing, sculpture, film, performance and photography. She also recently published an essay in the first edition of ‘Equis, Latinx futures’ titled ‘What I know about love so far’
WHO
Anyone who draws but would like to try out new materials and techniques centred on drawing.
