Our research project started with two days at The Wellcome Collection in London exploring their wonderful resources on alchemy and Jung. There were two areas we were interested in – the Wellcome Collection library and the Reading Room resource. I’ll […]
The 58th Venice Biennale runs from 11 May to 24 November 2019. Here we pick out some national presentations you shouldn’t miss.
Off back to meet the lovely Design By Day today to catch up and work out what needs doing now on the web/brand/design/publication for the next stage. Also collecting a few Koffin lids from Widnes – failed hydro-prints – some […]

It was harder than I thought it might be to peel my fingers off the idea of ‘straightforward mentoring’. Disappointingly so. But I have learnt so much more (SO MUCH MORE) from these conversations. About how we might start things. […]
As I thought about the sort of mentoring I might need, I wondered if it would be possible to come at it from another angle. To talk to artists and friends whose work and selves I loved and respected about […]
An extract from a conversation we had as a group, post Reading Room: meeting the universe halfway. We were trying to worry at what another version might look like that wound in more support. Practical and otherwise… H: I definitely thought […]

Deep purply-indigo flecked clouds creep across the horizon. Not just your average stormy grey but these mean business, a proper temper tantrum of toddler proportions – all toys out of the proverbial pram! Dramatic though it is, there’s something raw […]
Marbled hues chase the shimmering light leaving stagnant shadow streaks in the swirling mist. ‘Marbled Hues’ (Cloudscape painting in soft pastels, 40x30cm) Shop: https://www.lynneforrester.com/store/p446/Marbled_Hues.html
Faint pinks are amid the clouds in the mid morning haze – is it a long sunrise or an extremely early sunset? Maybe the fairies have their washing out! ‘Mid-morning Haze’ (Cloudscape painting in soft pastels, 40x30cm).
Bubbles of colour spring up across the mountains, invigorated by their misty hibernation of the last few days. Rose-tinged bursts come forth like mini fireworks over the bay. ‘Rose-tinged Bursts’ (Cloudscape painting in soft pastels, 40x30cm) Shop: https://www.lynneforrester.com/store/p447/Rose-tinged_Bursts.html
Deep purple swirls and puffs whisk around the skies like expressions of travelling ghosts. Are they reminders that we could ponder on our inner wishes and intentions this weekend? ‘Travelling Ghosts’ (Cloudscape painting in soft pastels, 40x30cm) Shop: https://www.lynneforrester.com/store/p448/Travelling_Ghosts.html
Frothy giggles rise up into the ether as the spring air buoys them with a zing they couldn’t contemplate in wintry hibernation. They skip and frolic – and the giggles continue to bubble up and release with the light playfulness […]
