Yizhuo Hazel Jiao discusses her digital video work Infinity Room:
“Infinity Room shows the search for something lost. Although not directly revealed, hints about the lost thing point towards the Screen in the Empty Room. The Room is barren, but the Screen provides it with simulated aural and visual spectacle/allurement that seek to replace human physical experience. The Screen is the protagonist’s only connection to nature and they long for this connection, even though this ‘nature’ is mediated by technology, or has been replaced by a complete simulation of nature.”
