Red Clay exhibition workshop
Of Public Interest (OPI) Lab operates a year-long advanced course at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm and serves as the research environment for other artist-researchers, including a PhD fellow.
In this week-long course you will explore the china clay extraction landscape of Cornwall, learning how to process the waste materials that were produced by the industry into new clay bodies. You will make glazes out of rock dust and ash, and fire your work in a wood kiln.
