The shape of moon in Beijing is not so different here from how it appears in the UK. I have a bit of a superstition that performances on full moons go particularly well. I will almost have these conditions on Saturday when I do 2012; the full moon will come the day before on Friday. I believe there will also be some festivities in the city as this will mark the end of the Chinese New Year’s first moon, the recent Spring Festival being timed around the lunar calendar.
