I used a mix of British, Chinese and European money in this performance. Afterwards a boy named Jordan who had watched throughout asked rather sweetly for one of the banknotes. He now has some Yuan, which he won’t be able to spend. This note, he told me, was the only thing he had not having anything like stamps, knives pictures or whatever in his possession. I thought this was a curious item to begin a 7-year old boy’s collection and I would like to imagine it continuing to grow with more performance memorabilia.
