Detail of a second image of reeds. I pinned a spare length of canvas onto the wall, painted it white then used a mixture of ink, oilpaint and oil-bars to create an atmospheric view of Snape Maltings. Enjoyed doing this. The palette is a bit harsh, I think. Wouls have liked more subtle colours but am learning about the possibilities of this new medium. the boldness you need reminds me of de Stael as well as Eardley.
