Michaelmas is a new body of work that defines the identity of each sculpture within a group. This series of sculptures were influenced by her painting and drawings of a spent Aster ?amellus? (common name Michaelmas Daisy), combining natural forms of the aluminum petals with bright colours of the curved metal to create a harmony between the two.
Placing a screen in front of the sculpture, (in this case a back slat from a1950 industrial chair), naturally creates a partition and changes how object art is viewed.
