Death is not the end … it is merely another change. A clock was once a clock – but now it is art. It is no longer a clock. Some people would call it a broken clock. I wouldn’t. Time is up for the clock. I made this one over a period of 1 year – by taking a clock I’d purchased online outside to the bottom of my garden to suffer the elements for a year – as I had no key to wind it up. Two months ago, I threw it into a pond. Two weeks ago, I set it on fire. Today, I sold it to a firm of solicitors. Leaving things to chance makes art – as does destruction. These are my ‘sketchbooks’.
