Sara’s current work addresses representations of dreams; exploring non-linguistic dream narratives through drawing. By denying the linguistic elements of dreams, Sara allows gaps to appear in her work. These gaps leave space for the viewer to wonder and be carried away by a flow of imagination.
She is focused on questions of seeing: How does an artist report their dreams? Are our dream reports truthful representations? How can that be proved? Why make something so private into something public? Sara is not looking for exact answers, only for a vareity of possible responses and ways of approaching these questions.
Originally from Portugal, Sara completed her BA Fine Art at University of Porto (FBAUP).
