Paris – this is completely unfinished and may change. It is a loose reference to Felicia’s sketch of a lion, but also the Belfort Lion in the Place Denfert-Rochereau, which Felicia mentions in her latter from Paris. She talks about the loneliness of being alone in a foreign city, where she was abandoned by her friend, (wondering savagely) but also about her excitement at anti-fascist rallies. She anticipates her arrival in Spain.
