This photo is one of a series of photos taken in Tehran, Iran. Mabadi was awarded an AN-Travel Bursary to travel to Tehran where she was born and subsequently migrated from at the age of 1. Mabadi mapped Tehran through walking the streets in silence for a month. A camera hung around her neck and she intuitively made images as she walked without framing the images by using a viewfinder. Some images were made as her own headscarf covered the lens. This is one of these.
