The exhibition features an eclectic mix of images; Plymouth Lido sparkling in the sunshine, charity shop windows, kitchens, hallways, waterfalls and rock pools.
There are shaped canvases including ovals and quatrefoils – both abstract and figurative.
The title of the show refers to the commons that surround Great Torrington. But the show explores shared emotions and landscapes — and the idea of a possible common visual language that was central to the development of modernism and which continues to inform the work of contemporary artists.
