Exploring Encaustic & Cold Wax.
Two artists and a shared passion for an ancient medium. Encaustic wax is often thought to be limited to creating fantasy pictures on card with a small iron! If this was your understanding…think again! This exhibition seeks to show the versatility of this exciting medium. Pigmented Wax is layered on wood panels, fused with a heat gun, and teased into highly textural pieces of art. Cold wax is applied with oil paint to create amazing surfaces. Anne and Lyn found one another in a sea of other mediums, and their shared passion is available for all to see. Join them and learn more about painting and creating with beeswax.
