They based their collaboration on the theme of ribbons which were historically an important industry in Saint Etienne. Inspired by the ribbon collection at the Museum of Art and Industry, Fiona Rutherford has woven these enormously long soft, curling ribbons as a deliberate contrast to Philippe’s rigid, tensioned ribbon structures.
