As well as the science itself, I got pretty deeply into scientific and mathematical philosophy during my doctorate. I’ve found nothing convincing to explain my experiences, nor have I found any sensible philosophical approach that dismisses them. The best scientists freely admit that we only understand a fraction of our experience, only the second-rate bluster on about every belief needing to be based on verifiable observation.
