Maddy Pethick, ‘A bookmark’, cut out from found page. Here is a bookmark. It’s a lady cut out from a found page from the incubator. There is something about her hair and jacket – I have a jacket like that – and for me this is a punctum. She sat in my notebook and accidently became a bookmark. So this is a sketch for a bookmark for a scrapbook. I need to tell you about the scrapbook research project initiated following a conversation with my colleague Jason – we are planning a lecture about collecting and archiving and are considering the scrapbook as a site for this.
