This programme is now launched – Read further information and application guidance and apply today via the online application form. Deadline for applications: 12 noon, Thursday 7 May 2020.
a-n’s Bursaries programme has supported over 800 members and awarded around £780,000 since first launched in 2013.
We know from our recent survey that many a-n members are already feeling the financial impact of Coronavirus Covid-19, so today we’re announcing programmes of financial support for both artists and arts organisers.
- For Artist members, we’re bringing forward the application for the next round of a-n Artist Bursaries, which for this round will focus on giving artists time and space to continue to make work.
We’re currently finalising details of the a-n Bursaries: Time Space Money programme and will announce full details soon – we’ll email all Artist and Joint Artist and Arts Organiser members as soon as the application process is open and post news on a-n’s Twitter and Facebook.
- For artists and arts organisers based in England, we’re working with Arts Council England to distribute £300,000 of financial support for artists and arts organisers who make exhibitions happen. That includes (but is not limited to) self-employed art handlers, technicians, art installers, conservators and restorers, and those who help other artists in the production of their work. Applications will be open soon – follow a-n on social media for updates.
- Arts Council England is also offering financial support for artists, creative practitioners and freelancers with £20 million available to individuals working in the cultural sector. Artists and creative practitioners will be able to apply for grants of up to £2,500 if they have a track record in publicly funded culture.
Look out for details of all three programmes coming soon – and see our Coronavirus Covid-19 Information and guidance for artists and arts organisers for regularly updated advice.
