Creative Scotland has published central elements of its new 10 Year Plan in draft form, in order to gain feedback on what it refers to as its “ambitions and priorities”.
The publishing of the draft plan continues a process of consultation that began last year when the funding body held a series of Open Session events across Scotland, hosted by Chief Executive Janet Archer. An external Reference Group, made up of representatives from across the arts sector in Scotland, also fed into this consultation process.
Feedback is now being sought on a number of areas including: Shared vision; Our purpose; Ten year ambitions and three year priorities; and Connector themes. The final version of the plan will be published in April 2014, when Creative Scotland will also announce its timetable for launching new funding streams for project funding from October 2014.
Speaking about the draft plan and consultation, Archer said: “We are committed to open and transparent development of this new long-term strategic framework – we want everyone to feel that they have had an opportunity to contribute to the final version that we publish in April. We also want people to feel a sense of shared ownership.
“This online consultation presents another opportunity for anyone to provide thoughts and ideas to help us shape the version of the plan. I hope as many people as possible take this opportunity and I look forward to hearing what people have to say.”
The draft plan 2014-24 is open for feedback until 5pm, Friday 7 February 2014.
