A study being carried out on behalf of the European Commission is asking photographers, illustrators and designers to complete a survey into how they are remunerated for the use of their work.
Part of a wider study which is also looking at pay for writers and journalists in member states, the research is being conducted by Europe Economics and the Institute for Information Law of the University of Amsterdam.
The researchers will to use data from the survey to help ensure that any recommendations they make are targeted to the issues that are important to artists. The research will also identify different national mechanisms for paying artists across Europe.
Photographers, illustrators and designers in ten European countries, including the UK, are being asked to complete the online survey, which should take between 10-15 minutes, before 14 June 2015.
