Chris Dunseath
Winner of the Dorchester Arts Open solo exhibition award, sculptor Chris Dunseath presents a small retrospective of sculptures and drawings. Counted among the influences in Dunseath’s bronze, stone, wood and paper works are Bronze Age artefacts, which the artist responded to during an exhibition at The Museum of Somerset, while his work also draws on theoretical physics.
23 May – 6 June 2018, The Gallery at Duke’s, Duke’s Auctioneers, Brewery Square, Dorchester DT1 1GA.

Pitmen Painters: Unseen / Narbi Price: The Ashington Paintings

Price also presents an exhibition of paintings created for his PhD that revisit the (now post-industrial) sites depicted by this group of miners, who used techniques and ideas that Price argues were anything but amateur.
