Alice Anderson, Wellcome Collection, London
This show features over 100 objects from everyday life that have been mummified in copper. In a strange way, the process morphs familiar items such as computers and books into something resembling high-end design. Visitors can also get involved with Alice Anderson’s working process by helping to mummify a 1967 Ford Mustang and other smaller items.

Jenny Holzer, Hauser and Wirth, Bruton
Spanning three decades of Holzer’s practice, the latest show at Hauser and Wirth’s Somerset site is certainly jam packed. Renowned for using language to make art, she utilises a range of techniques to demonstrate the power of words. Highlights include a selection of the artist’s hand-painted works in oil on linen, made over the last year.

John Chamberlain, Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh
This is the first UK solo exhibition at a public gallery by American sculptor John Chamberlain. Known for creating vibrantly coloured, dynamic metal sculptures made from salvaged materials and car parts, his work gains an added dimension when placed throughout the Botanic Gardens.
Until 4 October www.rbge.org.uk
Emily Willey, Modern Art Oxford, Oxford
This video installation explores how broadcast news can skew public opinion. With the use of papier-mâché and crudely made news reports, Willey takes serious topics and re-presents them in a more ridiculous manner. Facilitated by the Platform award, designed to nurture new artistic talent by selecting and exhibiting work from art school graduates from the South East region.

Images Moving Out Onto Space, Tate, St Ives
What happens when art works move around the gallery or into the outside world? Tate St Ives summer exhibition aims to provide the answers. With a title borrowed from a series of psychedelic kinetic sculptures Cornwall-based artist Bryan Wynter began to make in the 1960s, the show features heavyweight names such as Bridget Riley, Liliane Lijn, Dan Flavin, Donald Judd, Rivane Neuenschwander and the gallery’s recent artist in residence Nicolas Deshayes.
