Why War?, The Freud Museum, London
Marking the centenary of the onset of the first world war, this group exhibition explores correspondence between Sigmund Freud and Albert Einstein on the subject of war and, more importantly, how to avoid it. Featuring artwork produced by Jane McAdam Freud, the East London Printmakers and Gabrielle Rifkind.

Isa Genzken, Inverleith House, Edinburgh
German artist Isa Genzken’s Botanical Garden at Inverleith House features work made over the last 15 years and is the first exhibition in Scotland by the artist. Combining aspects of photography, collage and cheap readymade objects, the work is displayed in the seven naturally-lit rooms of Inverleith House, overlooking the landscaped grounds of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.

A New Reality: Part 3, The Tetley, Leeds
The third instalment of The Tetley’s inaugural programme explores the theme of ‘labour’. Artists including Copy, Edmund Francis, Stephen Iles and Aidan Moesby address notions of industrial and manual labour across the ground and first floors of the building, while collaborative team Nous Vous display the results of its two-week residency that transformed the former Tetley Brewery HQ into a ‘live’ work exhibition space.

Monika Grzymala, Fabrica, Brighton
Drawing is at the root of this incredible installation at Brighton’s Fabrica. Monika Grzymala has used more than eight kilometres of silver-mirrored tape to transform, reimagine and redraw the gallery’s interior. The aim is to explore our psychological and aesthetic relationship to the landscapes that surround us.

Bernhard Schobinger, Manchester Art Gallery, Manchester
Explore the past and present with one of the key figures of avant-garde contemporary jewellery. Schobinger has been at it more than 40 years and this show encapsulates his working process, featuring work made from a host of materials, including coloured pencils, spent knicker elastic, precious stones, combs and diamonds.
