Korean artist Lee Bul creates work that is both surreal and political. Exploring the idealism that permeates our civilisations, a dream-like space is created with sculptures suspended like chandeliers that resemble elaborate assemblages glimmering with crystal beads, chains and mirrors.

Wendy Ramshaw: Rooms of Dreams, mima, Middlesbrough
This Harley Gallery touring exhibition in partnership with Ruthin Craft Centre presents designer Wendy Ramshaw’s Room of Dreams. First shown at the Scottish Gallery back in 2002, this fantastical environment weaves together over 80 pieces of work including ceramics, glass and precious metals. Applied art at its best.

Late Turner, Tate Britain, London
A major exhibition that invites a reassessment of J.M.W. Turner’s later work. Notoriously dismissed by his contemporaries, the artist’s output between 1835 and 1851 offers a fascinating preview of what was to come next – namely Impressionism. James Epps, Just like that, Outpost Gallery, Norwich
This artist-led space presents the first solo exhibition by Norwich artist James Epps. His practice is very much process based, making use of unusual materials including tape and found objects, with this show revolving around a single work consisting of repeated patterns of concentric lines.

Situated away from Blackpool’s traditional tourist magnets of the promenade, piers and tower, Supercollider presents a range of artworks that engage with the town’s rich and unique heritage. Featuring work by artists including Scott King and Rachel Bradley amongst others, this is a tourist information centre with a difference.
