Radical Craft: Alternative Ways of Making
Craftspace’s touring exhibition features craft pieces by historical and contemporary artists who face barriers to the art world, whether through being self-taught or through disability, health and other social reasons. This expanded view of outsider art explores the conventions around creativity and some of the artists who break these bounds.
25 June – 29 August 2016, Oriel Davies Gallery, The Park, Newtown, Powys.

Mechanical Abstract
This exhibition is focussed on the medium of painting by mechanical means. Whether it be the techniques used to create exact lines or the use of materials more usually associated with construction and industry, the pieces by Lothar Götz, Jonathan Parsons, DJ Simpson and Neil Zakiewicz evoke the architectonics of the manmade.
Until 25 June 2016, Turps Gallery, Unit 11a, Taplow House, Thurlow Street, London SE17.

Until 25 June 2016, Transition Gallery, unit 25a, Regent Studios, 8 Andrews Road, London E8.
