Angela Holden
Angela (b.1965), grew up on a farm in Worcestershire. Her enduring love of the countryside and seasonal changes, whilst not literally referenced in her work, is reflected in her painting practice. Angela responds to changing conditions through process. Her paintings embrace the intuitive, encouraging the plasticity of paint, and can include spontaneous gestural marks and drips as unique marks on the canvas. It’s changing conditions Angela is interested in, and that dialogue is focused on. Graduating from Hereford College of Arts in 2016, BA (Hons) Fine Art (First Class), and in 2019 with a Masters of Arts, she lives on the Worcestershire/Herefordshire border, working from her studio overlooking the tranquillity of the Frome Valley.
