I was born and educated in Germany and have been living and working in the UK since 1995. I draw inspiration from the Modernism movement and in particular the Bauhaus aesthetic and it’s focus on functional design and craftsmanship, uniting art and industrial design. My work explores materials, shape, textures, balance, light and movement in space. Working with precious metals, steel and combining various materials and manipulating each element through degradation, humidity and movement allowing nature over time to take control. Ramsgate
