Caitlin Griffiths
Caitlin Griffiths is an independent artist and curator. She gained her BA (Hons) in Fine Art from The University of Reading on 2001, having spent a semester at Mason Gross School of the Arts in NJ, USA studying Video Art & Politics under the seminal feminist artist Martha Rosler. In 2006 she gained her MPhil from The University of Birmingham, where her thesis focused on the work of British artist film-makers Isaac Julien and Steve McQueen. Between 2009 – 2012 Griffiths was Artistic Director at Hereford Photography Festival, the longest running annual photography festival in the UK, founded in 1980. She has curated shows by international artists including Bill Viola (Public 2010), Martin Parr, (Twenty, HPF 2010) Vanessa Winship, George Georgiou and Don Weber (Time & Motion Studies, HPF 2011, co curated by Simon Bainbridge edited of BJP).
