I am a visual artist working across a range of media to respond to the environment as experienced through walking. Using moving and still image forms, I study the interconnected rhythms of the landscape, the body and the breath. I’m interested in the use of the mechanical vision of the camera and how this has potential to to enhance and extend visual perception. Informed by eastern philosophies and Japanese aesthetics, I examine the tension between control and interruption in the making process. I am currently working with photography, moving image, alternative photographic processes, found objects and textiles. Plymouth, Devon
