Catalina Renjifo

Catalina Renjifo was born in Cali, Colombia in 1977. She is a sculptor and installation artist based in Oxford, UK. Her work reflects on the acquisition of knowledge and the attribution of meaning to physical forms. In current work, her use of clay examines the vessel-like quality of language, emphasising the void within words and our innate thirst for interpretation. She has an MFA in Sculpture and Printmaking from Universidad Nacional de Colombia (2000) and an MA in Education from Oxford Brookes University (2017). Alongside her artistic and teaching practice, Renjifo collaborates with artists and organisations to foster dialogue and support artistic communities. Oxford, UK
