Charlotte Dawson

Based in Sheffield, I graduated from Norwich University of the Arts in 2018. During 2018 I was a graduate artist in residence at Airspace Gallery, Stoke on Trent. I currently hold a studio and emerging artistic practice at S1 Artspace, in 2020 I received a Grant from the Henry Moore Foundation to support the continuation of my practice. ​ My practice is object centered, I use sculpture, installation and moving image pieces to explore the communicative nature of objects. Obscuring purpose, texture, language and imagery to produce new investigations, compiling elements of the everyday, functionality and personal choice to create explorations into the material world and the role the personal plays in our understanding of objects, their use, their restrictions and their worth. Sheffield
