Chris Fremantle is a researcher and producer. He works across health, environment and ecology using research as a means to reflect on projects, and projects as a means to initiate research trajectories. In 2010 he established ecoartscotland, whose current thematic concern is artists who are engaging with issues of land use.

Leverhulme Trust residencies: a plea for resuscitation of important interdisciplinary scheme

Earlier this year the Leverhulme Trust decided to close its successful Artist in Residence Grant Scheme which has seen artists including Turner Prize winner Elizabeth Price and the Scottish artist Alec Finlay working alongside scientists and academics across the UK. Chris Fremantle talks to those lamenting its closure and calls for its return.
