Clare Flatley
Artist based in Edinburgh, currently studying a Masters in Ceramics and Glass at the RCA in London.
What drives me to produce artwork is a fascination with the hidden, underlying forces and systems that shape our sense of reality.
I am concerned with how our orientation with the world around us is defined, through the physicality of our built environment and resulting detached interaction with nature, also through the particular quality and limits of human perception. I aim to create works and environments that have a strangeness inherent in them, and that in some way subvert people’s sense of what is expected. London
