I am a third year student studying Contemporary Fine Art at the University of Portsmouth.

I am inspired by the infinite ways that the human figure appears in art and in the diverse ways that we interpret its representation.

I have a keen interest in the human form, examining all areas of the body. However recently I have been producing a series of experimental works focusing directly on the face. I like to use a variety of different media’s to explore ways of distorting and manipulating the way with which we look. I like to test my abilities and simply play with materials to create unexpected and unpredictable outcomes.

I base my work around topics that interest me- people, thoughts and feelings are often my key influences. A large majority of my work is concerned with the theme of identity and the ways we interpret one another. I have found that acrylic paint has become my most popular choice of media resulting in many of my ideas being fuelled by my choice of colour. I am fascinated by how the liquidity of paint can be manipulated in such ways in order for a picture to emerge. I feel as though my work is continually evolving as I grow older, often being driven by my current opinions and beliefs.
