Frances Harden

Born and brought up in Hong Kong, I did a Fine Art Degree at Scripps College, California; studied Chinese painting in the Far East, and later started work as a draughtsman in the UK, where I have settled. Over time, my work has evolved from detailed drawings to more vibrant and colourful expressions of local scenes and 'caught moments in time.' I always prefer working on location if possible. Travel continues to be a passion in my life, and is the subject for much of my photography and painting. Recently I have been discovering the British landscape, especially the rugged coastline of Pembrokeshire and the beautiful surroundings of Wells in Somerset. Wells Somerset
