Hugh Pryor

My main body of work explores light and time using photographic techniques, whilst also exploring similar themes through a more sculptural exploration using electronic lighting components. I use an iterative experimental approach to capture abstract imagery whist still retaining a sense of the subject. Having trained in animation, I have become fascinated with capturing movement within a single image, using techniques such as long exposure photography and slit scans. For my photographic work I build electronic light tools and these have led me to build light based sculptures. Oxford, UK
